Novel Unit Description
In this 127 page set of materials, for use with the novel by C.S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, I have included a full set of lesson plans, chapter questions, chapter question key, activities, (the elements of the activities serve as the rubric for these activities), discussion questions, vocabulary student handouts, vocabulary teacher edition, activity handouts (writing assignments: narratives, friendly letter, shield, bookmarks, a journal, a prediction log, and more), a Character description sheet for students, a test, test key, and author research project. The chapter questions are in depth questions that will aid in student retention. The activities will help to concrete both characters and scenes into the students memory. The discussion questions take concepts that are mentioned in the book and allow for whole class discussion. The vocabulary sheets are extremely detailed. I have gone so far as to include the page number that the word is located on so that the students can either highlight it in their book or write out the sentence to see how the word is used. I have included a teacher version of this handout that has all of the definitions already written out for you. The activity handouts consist of bookmarks, prediction log, narratives, friendly letter assignments, and much more. The test that I have created are lengthy. I wanted to do that to allow you to edit them as you saw fit. There are a variety of questions from story comprehension, grammar, parts of speech, and essay. I have also included the key for the entire test. The author study asks a variety of questions and can be used to study any author. Overall, there are approximately 127 pages of material. You will not find a more complete set of materials for use with this novel.
